Liaoning Petrochemical University

Founded in 1950 as the first petroleum school of New China, Liaoning Petrochemical University (LNPU) evolved from Fushun Petroleum Institute to its current name in 2002. It specializes in petroleum and petrochemical engineering and offers a comprehensive range of disciplines, including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, education, and art.

LNPU covers 126 hectares with a campus area of 532,000 m², housing a library with nearly 3 million books and 42 research databases. The university has over 18,400 full-time students and offers 52 undergraduate majors, along with several postgraduate programs, including joint doctoral programs, master's degrees in engineering, business, public administration, and more.

LNPU has produced over 120,000 graduates, many of whom hold key positions in China's petroleum and petrochemical industries. The university also plays a significant role in training high-level talent for the industry and in the petrochemical sector in Liaoning Province. With strong partnerships with major corporations like CNPC, SINOPEC, and CNOOC, LNPU continues to advance in academic excellence and industry collaboration.
