Tianjin Chengjian University

Founded in 1978, Tianjin Chengjian University (TCU) is a higher education institution under the Tianjin Municipal Government. Originally an architectural branch of Tianjin University, it became Tianjin Chengjian University in 2013.

Located in Tianjin’s Xiqing District, TCU spans 59.5 hectares with a building area of 45.3 hectares and a greening coverage rate of 41%. The university has 15 schools and over 18,000 full-time students. TCU focuses on urban construction, emphasizing the development of applied talents with both professional proficiency and personal integrity. TCU has strong international ties, partnering with 50 universities across 23 countries and collaborating on programs with institutions in Denmark, Poland, and Australia. It is also involved in research centers and international projects like the Luban Workshop in Tajikistan. TCU is dedicated to fostering talent for China’s urbanization and modernization.
